Even when a sail can no longer navigate the seas, its textile holds integral value; ready to be reimagined.
This Project showcases sustainability and transformation through a reimagined mainsail and jib donated by Sagamore Junior Sailing.
Most Sails today are made out of synthetic materials such as Dacron, Mylar, and carbon fiber. These materials are extremely durable, therefore making them difficult to dispose of. Apparel made from recycled sails fashionably reduces waste.
